RESOURCES

Supporting Coaches

Established in 1965, the British Swimming Coaches Association has been supporting coaches over six decades and has evolved significantly over this period.

Today, it includes teaching and coaching members from clubs, schools, universities, local authorities, and employees of governing bodies at all levels of the sport. The association represents the interests of both the voluntary and professional sectors, providing support and advocacy for all involved.

PROMOTING

The BSCA operates locally, regionally & nationally to promote the role of the Coach & Teacher in the welfare of the swimmer & the sport and liaises with respective NGB's when doing so.

PROTECTING

The BSCA protects members' interests and profession with insurance covering Professional Liability, personal injury, Criminal, Employment, & Tax law, ensuring support through club, sport, or court processes.

REPRESENTING

With contacts across all sport levels, the BSCA facilitates communication with key decision makers to address members' queries. We are founding members of IFSCA which connects us to LEN and FINA.

RECOGNISING

The BSCA recognises all levels of Coaching Achievement nationally and regionally, through Regional Forums, at appropriate swimming events in front of Coaching Peers, Swimmers, Parents & Officials.
