Important Notice to all BSCA Members

August 05, 2025

Dear Members,

We hope this message finds you well. We wanted to inform you about some upcoming changes to our subscription fees and payment processing methods that were agreed at our recent AGM, effective from 1st September 2025.

Subscription Fee Increase:

The AGM agreed to implement the Member Assistance Programme (MAP) which was a key finding from the recent research carried out by NTU into the mental health & well being of swim coaches in this country. This will allow us to provide this key support as a Benefit of Membership and only available to BSCA full members.

Therefore starting from 1st September 2025, there will be an adjustment to our subscription fees to cover the cost of this service:

Monthly Subscriptions: Will increase from £18 per month to £20.

Annual Subscriptions: Will increase from £204 per year to £220.

Transition to New Payment API:

In addition to the fee adjustments, as explained at the AGM, we are taking this opportunity to transition long-standing members to our new payment API, still powered by GoCardless. As part of this process, you may receive an email notification from GoCardless indicating that your membership has been cancelled. Please rest assured that this is a procedural step as we migrate your payment details to our new system in preparation for the subscription fee increase. Your membership will continue as normal.

Some members have already been moved across to the new payment API, and any members who joined after May 2024 are already on the new API. The payment increases will happen automatically and there are no changes to mandates.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding these changes, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@gbswimcoaches.co.uk

Thank you for your continued membership and support.
