Glenalbyn Swimming Club is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Head Coach to lead its swimming programme and support the Club’s next stage of development.
Based in South Dublin, Glenalbyn is one of Dublin’s longest-established competitive swimming clubs, with a proud history of developing swimmers to regional, national and international pathways. The Club has a warm, supportive culture, ambitious performance goals, and a strong commitment to athlete development, inclusion, welfare and excellence.
The Head Coach will have direct coaching responsibility for the senior performance squad, while also providing leadership across the wider coaching programme. The role will involve designing and overseeing training programmes, supporting swimmer progression across squads, mentoring the coaching team, attending regional and national competitions, and working closely with the Club Committee, swimmers and parents.
The successful candidate will bring strong competitive swimming experience, proven leadership capability, excellent communication skills, and a track record of developing swimmers to national level. A Swim Ireland Level 3 Coaching qualification or equivalent, along with safeguarding and Garda vetting compliance, is required.
