Hilton takes on role of Acting BSCA Chair

August 28, 2022

The BSCA are pleased to announce that Nathan Hilton has been appointed as Acting Chair of the Association  through to the next AGM.

Hilton was Head Coach at Cleethorpes back in 2003 before becoming Head Performance Swimming Coach when the programme at The Royal Wolverhampton School was set up in 2008 but is now best known for his work as Director of Coaching at Nova Centurion SC, since 2014. He has enjoyed much success recently with the selection & performances of Freya Colbert for England at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games and winning Bronze in the 400 IM for GB at the LEN European Championships in Rome.

Hilton said, “”Throughout my career, I have been fortunate enough to work in some of Britain’s best swimming programmes which has afforded me the opportunity to coach 3 World Junior Champions, numerous European Junior medallists and various senior International athletes that have made World, European and Commonwealth Games finals along with 3 medals at European Championships (including a European Champion) and 1 at CWG.”

On this appointment he stated, “Having been a member of the BSCA for nearly twenty years, I am acutely aware of the coaching giants that have been involved with this fantastic organisation since its formation over half a century ago. I am incredibly proud and privileged to be asked to sit as acting chairperson for the organisation during this period of transition post pandemic.”

Hilton takes on the role with immediate effect and we are sure all coaches wish him well in the role.
